Pre-download the game in advance
If you have a foam connection, the physical edition is a definite advantage (although you will still have to download the day one patch which activates the online multiplayer functionalities and fixes a few bugs). The best option is to take the game digitally by pre-ordering it on Nintendo eShop.
If you have opted for this option, know that it is now possible to preload the game on your console! This will save you from having to download it on D-Day and waiting long minutes or even hours before playing it. To do this, go to the page of the game you purchased on Nintendo eShop and start the download.
