On the occasion of Pokémon Presents this Sunday, February 27, Nintendo did not just talk about the future of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, since it simply announced its next two games to conclude its little event. It’s nothing more than Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Purple.
Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet, new licensed games
We didn’t necessarily expect such an announcement so early in the year, but it did happen. Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Purple are the next two Pokémon games, and will arrive at the end of this year 2022, on Nintendo Switch, exclusively. Naturally, we should have the right to a new generation of Pokémon, as shown by the three starters, which were shown during the publication of this trailer.
It’s a grass-type “kitten” Pokémon, a fire-type “alligator” and, finally, a cute water-type duckling. Their English name is Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly.
Unfortunately, no other information has been shared. We will have to wait a few more weeks before learning a little more about this new game, which should offer a more open world than what we have seen previously, drawing inspiration from what was done with Arceus. One thing is certain, the graphics are likely to still speak, although it is only a trailer.
