As promised, Nintendo released a new trailer for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. And the players were not ready for the novelties unveiled.
The last Pokemon Presents of this Wednesday, August 3, 2022 allowed fans to stock up on information about Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. In addition to one trailer unpublished, Big N has revealed two big unexpected novelties.
Motorcycles and teracrystalisation in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
As we know, the most hardcore fans are counting the days until November 18th. To up the hype, Nintendo has shared some new Pokemon Scarlet & Violet previews. On the program, new creatures, an overview of the Paldea region, combat, exploration and two big new features. This will be a first for the franchise, the legendary Pokémon will obviously be available from the start. Koraidon and Miraidon will transform into a motorcycle and serve as a mount to explore the open world. They will allow you to navigate both on the water and in the air, to climb and much more.
Big N confirms at the same time some interesting details. Pokemon Scarlet & Violet will feature three separate stories. One will revolve around the eight arenas, knowing that the champions can be faced in any order. Two other intrigues also await players, but the publisher wants to keep the mystery for now. At the same time, we learn that certain Pokémon will benefit from new forms in the Paldea region, such as the adorable Axoloto. But the star of the day is Pâtachiot, an adorable little yellow dog who is already cracking fans.
A new rare form for Pokémon
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet will also introduce Club Union, a feature to play co-op with three friends and freely explore this new world together. However, this is not the biggest novelty of the games. These new installments will add Teracrystal, a mechanic that makes Pokémon sparkle like gems. All creatures in the region will be able to use Teracrystalisation to gain a boost to their abilities, while some will be able to change type altogether while in this form. Pikachu will go into Flying type for example.
Getting your hands on it won’t be easy. Pokémon that can Terocrystallize are rarer than usual and will have a higher chance of appearing in dedicated raids.
