Pokémon Sparkling Diamond & Sparkling Pearl are still popular with players, despite the recent release of Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Besides, both remakes recently welcomed a brand new update, 1.2.0, which would be the largest and most important deployed to date for said titles. Moreover, we recommend that you download and install it, before immersing yourself in the adventure again.

Union Room functions have been expanded
- The maximum number of players you can play with, via local or internet communication, in the Union Room is now increased to eight. In addition, by choosing “Greeting” or “Capsule Decoration”, you will be able to show your Trainer Cards or Capsule Decorations to other players, and vice versa.
Colosseum battle functionality has been added
- Enter the Coliseum, go to the second floor of a Pokémon Center, to compete against other players, while using personalized rules.
- In the Coliseum, you can choose and set rules (number of Pokémon to send to battle, their level, etc.) and play single, double or multiple battles via local communication or the Internet.
Pokemon Trading and Battles
- Pokémon acquired through unintentional methods or illicit modifications can no longer be used in Trades or Link Battles.
- Fixed some gameplay issues, to make it more enjoyable.
Note also that this is probably not the last update deployed on Pokémon Sparkling Diamond & Sparkling Pearl. In effect, other features are still expected, including compatibility with Pokémon Home. In addition, several players would have noticed a detail that could be important, namely the recent integration of an Arceus tag displayed on the information sheet of certain Pokémon. It could therefore be thatcompatibility with the latest Pokémon opus is also in the works.
