Pokemon Unite is the very first moba in the franchise, and catching Pokemon isn’t what matters in this title. The Pokémon Company has decided to remedy this problem, by temporarily integrating a game mode that should satisfy budding trainers; the Fight Capture.
This feature will be available until June 27, 2022, and it allows you to take control of the wild Pokémon you knock out.

This game mode therefore allows you to control some of the most powerful units ever imagined by the franchise. If you manage to beat Electrhor, Articuno or Regigigas on the map, you can then play them against your opponents ! Needless to say, with attacks like Elecanon, Ice Laser or Ultralaserthese legendary Pokémon are very interesting to capture…
How does capture work?
When you KO a wild Pokémon, you capture it and your Battle Item icon is replaced with an icon representing that Pokémon. For a limited time, you can activate this icon and play as this wild Pokémon.
How this game mode works will be familiar to LoL players, since that’s basically what Viego can do on Summoner’s Rift.
Combat Capture is intended as a temporary game mode that will not replace the traditional ranked mode. But if it is acclaimed by the players, we can legitimately expect that The Pokémon Company will grant it its letters of nobility and make it a permanent game mode.
