Poland and Ukraine qualify for play-off final

Poland and Ukraine qualified on Thursday March 21 for the final of the Euro 2024 football play-offs. Beaten by Iceland, Israel was eliminated.

Ukraine won (2-1) in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Poland largely dominated Estonia at home (5-1), who played with ten men from the 27^e minute and the exclusion, after two yellow cards, of Maksim Paskotsi.

Israel, whose match had been relocated to Budapest, lost (1-4). In this match, Gudmundsson scored a hat-trick for Iceland (39^e83^e87^e) and Traustason scored the second goal (42^e). It was Zahavi who opened the scoring from the penalty spot (31^e) for Israel but missed another in the second half. The Israelis finished at ten following the exclusion of Reviro (73^e).

The Euro will be played in Germany from June 14 to July 14

In the final of these play-offs, which will deliver the last qualifiers for the Euro in Germany (June 14 – July 14), Poland will face Wales on Tuesday, victorious over Finland (4-1). The winner of this match will join Group A of the Euro with France, the Netherlands and Austria.

Iceland will face Ukraine, and Georgia will challenge Greece, which played Kazakhstan (5-0) on Thursday.
