Police are looking for witnesses – several ski accidents with hit and run

Several people had an accident while skiing on Saturday, some with serious injuries. In two cases, those responsible for the accident committed a hit-and-run. The police are now asking for information from the public.

The first case occurred on Saturday around 11:00 a.m. in the Obertauern ski area on slope no. 10a, downhill from the Panoramabahn. There, a previously unknown skier collided with a 65-year-old woman from Salzburg. The 65-year-old suffered serious injuries to her left leg report to another police station. The second incident also occurred in Obertauern. At around 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, a 54-year-old German skier skied down slope no. 22a, the Hochalmbahn cable car. Above the Hochalm, the German was run down by a hitherto unknown skier. The German became unconscious, but was then able to be taken to the doctor by the rescue service while he was still conscious.
