Suddenly a car came speeding along, hit the woman (86) in front and fatally injured her. Horrible: The driver of the accident did not stop and committed a hit-and-run. The police are now urgently looking for a dark Audi that is likely to be damaged in the right front area.
The 86-year-old from St. Georgen an der Gusen wanted to cross the B3 with her husband from the Abwinden power plant on Sunday around 2:30 p.m. After both made sure that no vehicles were approaching, they set off. The woman was about a meter in front of her husband when a car suddenly came rushing along at high speed from the right (coming from the direction of Mauthausen) in the 70 km/h zone. Resuscitation attemptsThe husband wanted to warn the 86-year-old, but unfortunately it was too late. The pedestrian was rammed and thrown onto the opposite lane in the direction of the B3 intersection “Im Fall”. Witnesses and neighbors – including paramedics – immediately rushed to the victim’s aid and began attempts to resuscitate her. Unfortunately, the emergency doctor who arrived shortly afterwards could only determine her death due to her serious injuries. Dark Audi wanted The driver of the accident simply drove away without stopping. Based on the investigation at the scene of the accident, it was determined that the getaway vehicle was a dark Audi A5. Damaged bumper and headlight. This is likely to be damaged in the front, right area of the bumper, as parts of the bumper and headlight were left behind at the scene of the accident. These were seized and subjected to a criminal investigation and forensic investigation in order to obtain further information about the vehicle.
