New face among the TV inspectors from September: Johanna Wokalek will appear on “Polizeiruf 110” for the first time in autumn.
It has been known for a long time that the squad of German TV inspectors is growing. Now it is also clear when the new investigator will be seen on TV for the first time. In September, actress Johanna Wokalek (48) will be performing for the first time in her role as chief inspector Cris Blohm in the Munich “Police call 110: Little Boxes”. In her role as an investigator, she returns to Munich after an assignment abroad. Upon her return, she is directly involved in a case in the university milieu.
That’s what “Polizeiruf 110: Little Boxes” is about
A researcher at the Institute for Postcolonial Studies is found dead. The investigations lead Cris Blohm (Johanna Wokalek) and her colleague Dennis Eden (played by Stephan Zinner) to the university. During their investigation, they are confronted with claims that the murder victim was a rapist and that he received his “just” punishment.
You receive little helpful statements, more silence than well-founded information. This makes investigations increasingly difficult. Even when they get support from their colleague Otto Ikwuakwu (Bless Amada), they don’t get any further in solving the murder case. Now it is a matter of tracking down every little piece of the puzzle and finding out how the crime could have happened.
Johanna Wokalek to be seen as an investigator on September 17th
The first “Polizeiruf 110” case with Johanna Wokalek as Commissioner Cris Blohm can be seen on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at 8:15 p.m. on the first. With Wokalek as the new investigator, the Sunday evening crime series continues in the Bavarian capital.
The actress succeeds Verena Altenberger (35) as investigator Elisabeth Eyckhoff. In July 2022, Bayerischer Rundfunk announced that the Austrian actress was leaving the series at her own request after six appearances in Munich’s “Polizeiruf 110”.
The new film “Polizeiruf 110:Little Boxes” starring Johanna Wokalek was directed by Dror Zahavi and based on a screenplay by Stefan Weigl.
