A 2-year-old girl died, shot and killed by police in Kansas, Texas on March 26. The police intervened because the girl’s father was holding her family hostage.
This is a real tragedy which took place in Kansas, Texas on March 26th. Indeed, two-year-old Clesslynn Crawford was shot dead by armed police. The latter intervened following a hostage-taking, according to The Mirror. The little girl’s father had held his family hostageforcing the police to a tense face-to-face. Result of the confrontation: three dead !
Clesslynn Crawford died along with her mother, Taylor Shutte, as she tried to flee the camping trailer. Unfortunately for this mother, she was shot by her husband, Eli Crawford. Subsequently, Eli Crawford shot himself, according to the analyzes of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KSI). On March 26 around 7:15 p.m., the police went home of Cherokee County. This after an emergency call from a woman asking for help after a “domestic disturbance”.
He fired over 90 shots
Upon arriving at the scene, the police knocked on the door of the camping trailer. It was Eli Crawford who opened the door before slamming it shut, according to Mirror. That’s when the two-year-old opened the door and his mother had tried to escapeaccording to KSI. “Crawford then came out and shot and killed Shutte. He also began to shoot the four officers who intervened, said the KSI in a press release. The police received reinforcements from Joplin SWAT and Police Team. Only, the father fired more than 90 shots at the police, again according to the KSI.
“Around 9:25 p.m., a law enforcement officer shot in the camping trailer“, authorities said. “Officers approached the residence and found Eli Crawford deceased inside from a gunshot wound,” always according to the insider. “Shutte and Clesslynn Crawford were also found dead from gunshot wounds. No law enforcement officers were injured during the incident”, continue the statement. Only it was revealed that little Clesslynn Crawford was killed by this one and only shot from a Joplin police officer, again according to the KSI. The case is still ongoing.
