Police officers injured – several young people arrested in Linz’s old town

The police had to arrest several aggressive young people in the old town of Linz on Sunday night. The night owls were violent against police officers, injuring them.

At around 5 a.m. on Sunday, the police’s patrol became aware of a disorder in the old town of Linz in front of a pub. Three people involved, a 20-year-old Polish woman from Linz, a 17-year-old German from the Urfahr-Umgebung district and a 19-year-old Pole from Linz shouted loudly. Those involved were checked, and due to a lack of ID, the 20-year-old was brought to the Landhaus police station for clarification. After a few meters she stopped, which is why her colleague wanted to encourage her to move on. Then she grabbed the policeman by the shoulder, yelled at him and yanked the radio and the distinctions off his shoulder. Two other colleagues immediately came to support to calm down and fixate the unruly 20-year-old.

Jumped with knee against head
Another bystander who observed this scenario ran up to one of the policemen who was kneeling on the ground and jumped knee first against the head of the intervening officer, injuring him. Further called-up strips then checked the 19-year-old Linz because of the disorder. Despite repeated requests to identify himself, which he did not comply with, he was put aside. The 17-year-old girlfriend of the 19-year-old Linz native suddenly grabbed a policeman’s neck from behind and tried to pull him to the ground.

She cursed the intervening officers and hit a colleague with her fists. Despite the defense, she hit him several times on the head and in the chest area. It took several police officers to arrest the aggressive 17-year-old, who was still struggling. The people involved were arrested and are reported several times.
