Police on site – Bomb threat: Innsbruck main station evacuated

After a bomb threat was apparently received, Innsbruck’s main train station was evacuated on Sunday evening. The police were on site with a large contingent at around 8:30 p.m.

As the police confirmed in response to a query from the “Krone”, the station was evacuated on Sunday at around 8:20 p.m. A bomb threat had been received beforehand, the officials explained. Train traffic had to be stopped for the time being, and platforms, the hall and the forecourt were evacuated. The police are on site in large numbers. The Cobra and the Rapid Intervention Group (SIG) are also deployed.
