The extraordinary incident, which made even experienced police officers smile, occurred on Wednesday around 10:40 a.m. in Rum on or next to Tiroler Straße B 171. “Witnesses” took notes. The exact scene was the immediate vicinity of the Avanti gas station there. As if out of the blue, banknotes worth 100 and 200 euros suddenly fluttered through the air. The “blessing of money”, which no one knows how it came about, immediately attracted numerous passers-by. They grabbed some of the notes and disappeared. A witness who pointed out the illegality of her actions called the police. Where the considerable amount, the amount of which the police do not know exactly, came from is still a mystery. It is suspected that the money could have “flown” from the roof of a car that was driving away from the gas station.
