A video posted on social media on Saturday shows a man partially stripped naked by a police officer during a demonstration against pension reform in Lyon.

UAn investigation was opened after the broadcast on social networks of a video showing a man ending up partially naked after a fight with a police officer on the sidelines of a demonstration in Lyon, we learned on Sunday from the Lyon prosecutor’s office.
The investigation was entrusted to the General Inspectorate of the National Police (IGPN, “the police force”) of the leader of violence without ITT by a person holding public authority, in view of the video broadcast on social networks , explained the prosecution.

We see a man tackled to the ground by a member of the police, at night in the middle of the street, and ending partially naked, his pants down. According to the Lyon Insurrection Twitter account, the scene took place on Thursday evening.
One wonders what went through his head to this policeman to strip a man in the middle of the street on the sidelines of a demonstration against police violence. The man will finish the private parts in the air.

That evening, up to 3,000 demonstrators had gathered “against police violence”. A municipal police station was degraded, its windows broken, glass dumpsters were overturned and several garbage can fires were lit.
Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin announced in an interview with Sunday newspaper that “36 judicial inquiries” had been opened by the IGPN and 2 by the IGGN (the equivalent for the gendarmes) since the start of the mobilization against the pension reform.
