Suspicion of animal cruelty! A walker found what may have been poison bait on the side of the “Am Weinhang” path in the Straßgang district of Graz on Thursday afternoon. The investigation is ongoing.
At around 4:15 p.m., a woman from Graz was walking with her dog “Am Weinhang” and discovered a possible poison bait in the form of a meat-like piece (presumably minced meat) on the side of the path. The woman called the police. Dog was examined by a veterinarian Since it could not be ruled out that the dog had already eaten a piece of the supposed poison bait, the animal was taken to an animal practice for further examination. The remains of meat were seized and will be sent for examination. The investigation is ongoing. The police urge caution, especially in the area mentioned. Suspicious reports can be received from any police station on 059-133. Similar observations have already been reported in the Wetzelsdorf district.
