After three weeks of vacation, Emmanuel Macron, Élisabeth Borne and all the members of the government have an appointment this Wednesday morning for a new Council of Ministers, the first of the new school year. The opportunity to start working on the major themes that should mark the months to come.

It’s back to school policy this Wednesday. After three weeks at Fort Brégançon, Emmanuel Macron is back in Paris. He meets his government this Wednesday morning at the Elysée for the Council of Ministers. A reunion which was prepared on Tuesday evening by the President of the Republic. Emmanuel Macron had an appointment with Elisabeth Borne. A dinner to establish priorities for the start of the school year.

Purchasing power, employment, climate…

On the menu first, the question of purchasing power. We know that inflation is here to stay. To deal with it, 20 billion euros of measures have already been adopted. But Emmanuel Macron wants to go further, relying in particular on the private sector. This will therefore be one of the priorities for this fall.

Another major issue: employment. The Head of State has said it on several occasions, he wants to put an end to the hundreds of thousands of jobs that do not find takers in France. There is also on the table the issue of wage increases and the reform of unemployment insurance. On this theme of employment, the government will most likely have to compromise with the opposition to have the budget adopted in particular in the fall.

Finally, Emmanuel Macron wants to silence critics of his climate action. And for this, he promises a general mobilization on energy sobriety and ecological planning. And his entourage suggests that the first announcements could be made later at the end of the Council of Ministers.
