Politics unofficial – The Tyrolean People’s Party and its many dilemmas

The black-green coalition in Tyrol has existed since 2013 and lasted nine years. But if you are honest, she has made little progress on explosive topics.

Good advice is currently expensive for the leaders and external advisors of the Tyrolean People’s Party, but it is in great demand. How to get out of all the dilemmas you’re in? On the one hand there is the biggest one, namely the unrest with the Greens, who have been coalition partners with the ÖVP for more than nine years, precisely since May 24, 2013. LH Günther Platter has not only once pointed out the harmony within the government during this time pointed out, always stressed that conflicts are certainly not resolved through the media and thus in public, that instead of arguing, one works for the population. If you look at the topics that are most burning under the fingernails of the Tyroleans, the fruits of this work are rather manageable. In terms of traffic, there were many announcements, but the show of muscle from the EU and, most recently, especially from Bavaria, brought little if any success. The truck transit through our country rolls and rolls unbroken, unless Corona slows it down. The green transport policy under the responsible LHStv. Ingrid Felipe brought just as much or as little as those responsible for the SPÖ or FPÖ politicians in the country. The fact is that house prices are skyrocketing. It is also a fact that truck traffic is increasing and increasing. In 2000, 1.56 million trucks drove over the Brenner Pass and a total of 2.93 million over all four Swiss Alpine crossings (Gotthard, San Bernardino, Simplon, Großer St. Bernhard). In the previous year there were 2.47 million in Switzerland, in Switzerland only 810,000.Mikadospiel in the state electionDilemma number two, which is directly related to number one, is the upcoming state election. Figuratively speaking, a kind of pick-and-stick game seems to be taking place among the political parties at the moment. With the exception of the FPÖ Tirol, which would rather vote yesterday than tomorrow (only she herself knows why), the rule is: Whoever moves first loses. In other words, anyone who has the courage to finally say that things can’t go on like this because nothing goes on is afraid of appearing as a big loser. It may be, but it doesn’t have to be. There comes a day when an announcement is needed. Worrying on until the end of the day is the worst solution. The federal party is worried Dilemma number three from the ÖVP’s point of view is the federal political weather situation, which is also anything but helpful. Hardly a week goes by without some scandal being uncovered, even if it’s just staged artificially. The hunt for the ÖVP leadership will continue, no matter how often it is exchanged. Good advice is currently expensive for the Tyrolean VP. Saving yourself over the summer will not be enough. We’re not even talking about the long-overdue reshuffle of the government within the current ÖVP team, which sometimes signals anything but freshness, departure and enthusiasm. But this is another story.
