Polizeiruf 110: The anniversary is being celebrated with this new team

The "Polizeiruf 110" series will be 50 next year. This anniversary will be celebrated with a new team of investigators at an old location.

While the Sunday thriller fans are eagerly anticipating the 50th "Tatort" anniversary, the next big thriller birthday is already coming up. Because the "Polizeiruf 110" turns 50 too. But instead of a two-part crossover with which the "Tatort" is to be celebrated in a few weeks, the first introduces a new team in the well-known Halle / Saale for the "Polizeiruf" anniversary.

As the broadcaster MDR announced on Tuesday, the actors Peter Kurth (63, "Herbert") and Peter Schneider (born 1975, "The sum of my individual parts") will determine there. From 1996 to 2013 the inspectors Schmücke (Jaecki Schwarz) and Schneider (Wolfgang Winkler) solved countless murder cases in the city in Saxony-Anhalt.

So there will be five "Polizeiruf 110" teams in the first: Bukow (Charly Hübner) and König (Anneke Kim Sarnau) investigate in Rostock, Lenski (Maria Simon) and Raczek (Lucas Gregorowicz) in Frankfurt / Oder, Brasch (Claudia Michelsen) in Magdeburg and Elisabeth Eyckhoff (Verena Altenberger) in Munich.

This is what the anniversary "Polizeiruf 110" is all about

The broadcaster has already given a small foretaste of the content of the anniversary case: Chief Detective Henry Koitzsch (Peter Kurth) and Commissioner Michael Lehmann (Peter Schneider) have to solve a mysterious murder case that was already several months ago – but they have no evidence of a motive there are still suspects or clues. Instead, they fight their way through a barrage of testimony that couldn't be more different. And before the two commissioners know it, they stumble into the next mysterious death …

Shooting starts on November 10, 2020 in Halle / Saale and the surrounding area. The thriller is expected to be broadcast on the 50th anniversary of the police call in May 2021.
