Wilfried Gliem, 75, part of the popular Schlager duo “Die Wildecker Herzbuben” has health problems. About two years ago the musician fell in his garden at home. He fell on his backside and suffered a complicated fracture of the spine. He still suffers from that. “To this day I still can’t cope with it. I still have severe back pain when I walk. If I use the rollator, it works better because I am supported forwards,” he explains in an interview with the magazine “Meine Melodie”.

He can now only cover longer distances with a walking aid. According to experts, a few pounds less on the scales would support his recovery process. But Wilfried finds that difficult, because: “I eat a lot less than my wife, who is slim. However, my big weakness is snacking,” he admits. Hopefully, despite all the adversities, the singer will soon feel better again.
