Popularity: Emmanuel Macron slightly down, small rebound for Elisabeth Borne

Emmanuel Macron’s popularity rating is down slightly by two points while that of Elisabeth Borne is up three points, according to a monthly Ifop/Fiducial poll for Paris Match and Sud Radio published on Tuesday. Compared to August, the President of the Republic has lost two points to 31% of favorable opinions on his action and is approaching his lowest level (29%) reached in the spring. The Prime Minister, on the other hand, rose by three points to 33%, or seven points above her lowest level reached in June.

The National Rally, the best opposition to Emmanuel Macron

Only 24% of French people consider that the head of state is “close” to their “concerns” (28% for the head of government) and 37% that he is “capable of reforming the country” (33% for Elisabeth Thick headed). Survey conducted between August 31 and September 1, 2023 with a sample of 1,000 people representative of the French population aged 18 and over, according to the quota method, with a margin of error of between 1.4 and 3 .1 percentage points.
