PARIS (awp / afp) – Affected in the middle of the week by technical difficulties which prevented certain customers from making transfers, the Postal Bank assured Sunday that the problem had been solved “since Friday afternoon”.

Since Thursday, “the transfers did not work on the application and the online bank. It was a hardware failure which created a malfunction”, explained a spokesperson for the bank to AFP.

The defective equipment has meanwhile been “replaced” and transfers are possible again since “Friday afternoon”, according to the same source.

The bank was unable to specify the number of customers affected by this technical problem. On its site, it claims 20 million customers and 3 million daily visits to its application.

In response to complaints from some Internet users who continued to report transfer difficulties on Sunday morning, the Postal Bank indicated on Twitter that “all banking activities are now operating normally”.
