PowerPoint: how to use Copilot Pro to refine your presentations

Priced at $20 per month, Copilot Pro works with Microsoft 365 to bring AI-infused assistance to various apps within the suite, including PowerPoint.

How to use Copilot Pro AI for PowerPoint

You can use Copilot’s AI skills to create a new presentation, organize your presentation, summarize a presentation, and answer questions about presentation content.

Here’s how this technology works.

  1. First, you need to sign up for a Microsoft 365 Personal or Family subscription. Priced at €70 per year, the Personal edition is designed for one person using up to five devices. Priced at €100 per year, the Family edition is intended for up to six people using up to five devices. The main applications in the suite are Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote.

  2. Second, you need to purchase a subscription to Copilot Pro. To register, go to the Copilot Pro website. Click the Get Copilot Pro button. Confirm subscription and payment. The Pro version will take effect the next time you use Copilot on the website, in Windows, or with mobile apps.

1. Create a new presentation

Copilot can help you design a new presentation right away. Open PowerPoint and select the Blank Presentation template. Click the Copilot icon on the ribbon. Select the Create Presentation suggestion and type a request explaining what your slideshow is about.

Once you submit your request, Copilot generates the title slide and a few subsequent slides for you to review.

2. Add slides

After reviewing the generated slides, you can ask Copilot to add more slides, for example emphasizing a specific aspect of your presentation topic. When prompted, type your request for additional slides and Copilot will create them.
