Apple’s MagSafe charger for wirelessly charging the iPhone isn’t exactly cheap. Lidl now has an alternative for just 10 euros.

If desired, the current iPhone models can also be charged wirelessly using a MagSafe charger. This works for all models (except iPhone SE) from the iPhone 12 onwards. Apple charges 49 euros for the charger in its own shop, while other retailers charge an average of 40 euros. If that’s too expensive for you, you can currently get a cheap alternative from Lidl.
The discounter offers a compatible charger in its online shop for just 9.99 euros. The Tronic charging pad is available in black and white and also has a small folding stand that can be used to easily set up the phone. The charger charges with up to 7.5 watts – Apple’s original has the advantage here, because MagSafe can provide up to 15 watts of charging power. However, if you’re not in a hurry, you can also use the Lidl version.
Also charges through thin protective cases
The charging cable is around one meter long and the device dimensions are 6.5 x 7.5 x 0.8 centimeters. The charging pad should be compatible with the iPhone 12 / 12Pro and iPhone 13 / 13Pro. Since the following models also have the same MagSafe technology, the charger should also work with the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15.
At a price of 9.99 euros, you can’t go wrong if you’re looking for a wireless charger for your iPhone. Of course, the Tronic device, like the original, also holds magnetically on the back of the cell phone and, according to the manufacturer, should also enable charging through thin protective cases.
