Pre-opening Paris: the CAC 40 able to hold the rebound?

THE TREND

(Boursier.com) — The CAC 40 should start again at the opening according to the pre-opening elements available 30 minutes from the start of the session. Yesterday it gave up 6,400 points in session, falling to 6,388.23 points after the unexpected warning shot from the BoJ which is also won by a stricter monetary policy, like those of the Fed and the ECB.

The rebound that seems to be taking shape would somewhat break the negative spiral into which the equity markets have been plunged since last week and the remarks of the Fed and the ECB not as favorable as expected.

The week that is ending will also be shortened with the closure on Friday at mid-session, while the stock markets in Europe and the United States will observe a break on Monday, the day after the Christmas holidays.

WALL STREET

Despite an opening in the red, Wall Street ended close to balance on Tuesday after four consecutive sessions of decline… The S&P500 advancing timidly by 0.10% to 3,821 points, the Dow Jones gained 0.28% to 32,849 points and the Nasdaqstill more sensitive to rising rates, remains stable at 10,547 pts.

Investors remain on the defensive overall, as global growth concerns remain high after aggressive rhetoric from the Fed and the ECB last week, “ready to do anything” to win their fight against inflation, including seeing their respective economy fall into recession.
