Premiere on April 8th – carnival fools from Reichenau shot a thriller

The Faschingsgilde Reichenau was not able to perform live for two seasons. An intolerable state of affairs, which is now being made up for with an all the more spectacular project: the carnival fools filmed a country thriller based on the ORF series.

In three months of shooting, the 60-minute film “Der Nockalmkrimi, lei noch a Mord” was made, in which a murder case throws the tranquil life in the village upside down. Not only the 24 actors of the guild – between 18 and 80 years. Everything from farms to churches became film locations, and old cars were repainted to become police cars. Of course, with the permission of the executive branch, who also provided real uniforms. The premises of the company Payr Engineering mutated into a police station. The result was shown to professionals in advance. “They were really surprised what a group of country fools can do,” laughs Hans-Peter Huber, who wrote the screenplay and directed it. April 8 will see the premiere in the Nockstadl, which will become a cinema – including that of the Diesel cinema in Graz borrowed popcorn machine.
