President Florence Lustman elected for three years

The president of France Assureurs, Florence Lustman, saw her mandate renewed for three years on Thursday after a unanimous vote, announced the federation of insurers.

Calling herself honored, Florence Lustman, quoted in the press release from France Assureurs, declared: it is with renewed energy that I begin a new mandate at the service of this sector which is essential to society as a whole.

Arrived at the head of the federation on October 1, 2019, she quickly had to face the Covid-19 crisis, which seriously damaged the image of insurers in public opinion.

Previously financial director of La Banque Postale, she had succeeded Bernard Spitz, who had led the French insurance lobby for more than 10 years and whose profile was considered more political, Mrs. Lustman having rather stood out for her talents as a technician. .

For her re-election, she benefited from the support of the three vice-presidents of the federation, who each represent an insurance family (public limited companies, mutual insurance companies and bank-insurers), between which relations have sometimes been stormy.

France Assureurs brings together 247 insurance and reinsurance companies operating in France, representing more than 99% of the market, says the federation.
