Presidential 2022: 12% of French people decided this Sunday for whom to vote


At the end of the second round of the presidential election, Emmanuel Macron was re-elected as head of the French Republic with 57.9% of the vote. According to an OpinionWay poll for CNEWS, 12% of French people have chosen their “candidate” this morning.

According to the data collected*, 31% of French people have always known who to vote for, of which 32% have chosen the re-election of Emmanuel Macron and 32% have bet on a victory for Marine Le Pen.

Even if the fate of the presidential election was uncertain since the first round, 27% made their choice at the end of it. 29% chose to vote for the En Marche candidate and 24% for the National Rally candidate.

Nevertheless, 12% decided on their voting choice more than a month ago. Among them, 12% voted for Emmanuel Macron and 14% for Marine Le Pen.

Finally, 12% of French people have decided today. 10% of voters trusted Emmanuel Macron again when 12% of them opted for a ballot in the name of Marine Le Pen in the ballot box.

*Survey carried out on April 24 on a sample of 5,719 people registered on the electoral lists representative of the French population according to the quota method.
