Presidential 2022 Le Pen, Macron: where did they achieve their best scores in 2017?


66.10% for Emmanuel Macron, 33.90% for Marine Le Pen. In 2017, only Aisne and Pas-de-Calais had placed the National Front candidate in the lead after the second round, against 48 departments in the first round. His opponent came first in the other 106 territories* (against 45 in the first round).

• In the second round in 2017, Emmanuel Macron had made his best score, 88.89%, in the Hautes-Pyrénées: 16 of the 18 voters of Artigues had granted him their vote. In the top 10 of the highest percentages, closer to home, are Taizé (Saone-et-Loire) where 59 registered out of 76 voted for the candidate of the Republic in motion (77.63%) or even Merona, in the Jurawhere he convinced 17 voters out of 22 to grant him their ballot (77.27%).

In L’Ain, Vesancy gave the candidate his best score in the department (63.83%, or 210 voters out of 329); Fontaines-Saint-Martin (Rhone) with 59.85% (1367 out of 2284), Le Bessat (Loire) with 57.69% (210 voters out of 364) and Le Monteil (Haute-Loire) with 56.44% (276 out of 489), sign its best performances in these three departments.

• In the second round in 2017, Marine Le Pen had made its best score, 75.51%, in Haute-Marne: 37 of the 49 voters of Brachay had given him their vote. In the top 50 of the highest percentages, closer to home, are Chemilla (Jura) where 49 registered voters out of 137 voted for the National Front candidate (58.33%) or even Mussy-la-Fosse, in the Côte-d’Orwhere she convinced 47 out of 81 voters to give her their ballot (58.02%).

In Ain, Vernoux gave the candidate her best score in the department (51.74%, or 89 voters out of 172); Dième (Rhone) with 42.86% (54 out of 126), La Valla-en-Gier (Loire) with 42.74% (306 voters out of 716) and Vazeilles-Limandre (Haute-Loire) with 38.58% (76 out of 197), sign its best performances in these three departments.
