Presidential 2022: Nicolas Dupont-Aignan obtained his 500 sponsorships

Nicolas Dupont-Aignan obtained this Tuesday, March 1 the 500 sponsorships necessary to participate in the next presidential election.

In detail, the president of the party Debout La France has very exactly collected 532 sponsorships in total, according to the figures revealed by the Constitutional Council.

Previously, counting so far 457 signatures a few days before the deadline for submitting signatures, this Friday, Nicolas Dupont-Aignan had indicated, during an interview with France Inter, “to be confident before the home stretch”.

He thus joins Eric Zemmour and Marine Le Pen, who both also obtained their 500 sponsorships on Tuesday. Before them, Emmanuel Macron, who has still not announced his candidacy, Valérie Pécresse, Anne Hidalgo, Nathalie Arthaud, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, Fabien Roussel, Jean Lassalle and Yannick Jadot have also won their entry ticket.

A third consecutive candidacy

Nicolas Dupont-Aignan will participate in his third presidential election. If he had obtained only 1.8% of the votes in 2012, “NDA” had tripled his score five years later, reaching in 2017 4.7% of the votes cast in the first round.

His subsequent decision to ally with Marine Le Pen in the second round against Emmanuel Macron had caused some consternation even among his supporters.

For this third attempt in the race for the Elysée, the former mayor of Yerres (Essonne) says he is “the real Gaullist” of the election.

According to the latest OpinionWay barometer for CNEWS, the deputy of the 8and Essonne constituency would be credited with 2% of voting intentions on 10th April next, during the first round of the presidential election.
