Presidential 2022: “The allowance is the response of cowards”, judge Castaner on the reform of the RSA

The president of the group La République En Marche, guest of BFMTV, considers that the obligation of activity for the beneficiaries of the RSA is “a measure of justice and purchasing power”.

This is one of the measures announced by Emmanuel Macron during the presentation of his program: that the beneficiaries of the RSA have “an obligation of 15 to 20 hours of activity per weekwith a view to professional integration.

Asked about this on BFMTV, Monday March 21, Christophe Castaner reacted: “I do not consider that people who are on the RSA want the allowance. I think they want to be able to work.“Before continuing:”We have an extraordinary perspective, that of full employment. (…) To offer to those which are furthest away from employment and which are with the RSA the possibility of going towards employment, it is a measurement of justice and purchasing power.»

The president of the LREM group in the National Assembly then concluded: “Helping someone, accompanying them towards integration, is always better than giving them an allowance. Allowance is the answer of cowards. That is to say: take a little money. Well no, we prefer to accompany.»
