A week after having launched its appeal for donations aimed at repaying a personal loan of 7 million euros for the presidential campaign, Valérie Pécresse (LR) would have already collected 1.4 million euros this Monday, April 18.
Credited with 4.78% of the vote in the first round of the presidential election on April 10, Valérie Pécresse did not cross the 5% mark, synonymous with reimbursement of her campaign expenses. Personally indebted to the tune of 7 million euros, the head of the LR list appealed to the generosity of her supporters to support her financially.
Launched on Monday April 11 by the President of the Ile-de-France Regional Council the day after her bitter defeat, the call for donations would have raised almost a quarter of the total amount desired, namely 1.4 million d euros, according to Le Figaro.

A “team of France” as it was mentioned, it is also in defeat. I will give. And if each of the electors of@vpecressegives 3€, the situation is settled. We can see in it a civic gesture, useful to the pluralism that makes democracy. https://t.co/fyH1mJxWbe
