Invited to France Inter on Tuesday, Christophe Castaner said he “wished” that Emmanuel Macron would be a candidate, hoping for his candidacy to arrive “quickly” while ensuring that the president remained “totally in his charge”. Regarding the criticism of a late candidacy, this early walker preferred to throw the ball back to the opponents. “Candidates only campaign against Emmanuel Macron. You have to carry a political project for France, and most of the projects we are witnessing are nostalgic or very conservative or even reactionary projects, ”he explained. A president who would deprive the French of an electoral campaign? A false argument for Christophe Castaner. “French political life is not only punctuated by electoral campaigns. We must stick to this objective and hold substantive debates. It is not with a declaration of candidacy that we do politics”, according to him.
After the announcement of the LR mayor of Cannes David Lisnard to sponsor Jean-Luc Mélenchon, Christophe Castaner evokes a “demonstration”. “He wanted to demonstrate that we could sponsor a candidate that we did not support. The former mayor of Forcalquier was also questioned about the low youth employment rate (32%). Faced with Putin, Castaner warns of possible excesses
