A new poster, 100 public meetings organized by the first round, in all departments, a door-to-door operation, a giant meeting at Place du Trocadéro… To regain momentum, Éric Zemmour is sounding the general mobilization.

Éric Zemmour unveiled his new campaign poster last night. The opportunity for the candidate to motivate his troops for the home stretch. The former journalist and his lieutenants want to hit hard and announce an unprecedented deployment less than 25 days from the first round.

Meet 1 million French people

A simple poster, a photo of Éric Zemmour, in a blue suit and tie, on a tree-lined background, and a slogan “So that France remains France”. “It has the strength of evidence” according to the Reconquest candidate and will be plastered in 50,000 copies throughout France.

Now given 3rd or 4th in the polls, former journalist Figaro launches an operation that his relatives describe as unprecedented: 100 meetings organized with his lieutenants by the first round, and the objective of covering all the departments. First public meeting this evening with Marion Maréchal and Guillaume Peltier near Orléans, in front of nearly a thousand people. At the same time, Éric Zemmour calls on the 116,000 activists of his Reconquest movement. For them, it will be a door-to-door mission every weekend, with a quantified objective: 10 doors per activist, in the hope of meeting more than 1 million French people.

50,000 people at the Trocadero

The candidate is also counting on an event to strengthen its dynamic: the big meeting of the Trocadero on March 27th. About 50,000 people are expected. A strong symbol for the right-wing electorate, reminiscent of the large rallies of Nicolas Sarkozy in 2012, and François Fillon in 2017. It is this electorate that Éric Zemmour wants to continue to seduce. His last days, he also picked up a few points among François Fillon’s voters in 2017 at Valerie Pécresse.

The candidate will also work on a new axis in his speeches: to address retirees, he will talk to them about the transmission of France, their children and their grandchildren. One way to seek out this electorate, which traditionally has the highest turnout rates in elections, and to mobilize it in its favour. If Éric Zemmour has dropped a few points in the polls recently, his strategists are confident. For them, everything will be played in the last straight, and they intend to mobilize all their forces to reach the second round.
