Presidential Loire: Valérie Pécresse at the head of sponsorships

On Tuesday, the Constitutional Council validated new sponsorships. Four candidates are already qualified to participate in the presidential election: Valérie Pécresse, Anne Hidalgo, Nathalie Arthaud and Emmanuel Macron, although the latter has not yet declared himself a candidate. For the others, they have until March 4 to hope to receive the 500 sponsorships necessary to participate in the presidential election.

Roussel and Jadot tied

For the moment, in the Loire, it is the candidate LR Valérie Pécresse who comes first in sponsorships. Twenty elected officials have signed for her.

Valérie Pécresse is followed by the outgoing President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, who collects ten sponsorships.

Surprise on the third step of the podium: it was Jean Lassalle, deputy for Pyrénées-Atlantiques, who seduced eight elected officials from the Loire. These are mayors of rural communes. Jean Lassalle, himself from a rural background, is in a way the spokesperson for rural elected officials during this campaign.

Anne Hidalgo is currently in fourth place. The socialist candidate has so far obtained six sponsorships. In fifth position, tied with five signatures, we find the communist candidate Fabien Roussel and the ecologist Yannick Jadot. Four sponsorships went to Jean-Luc Mélenchon.

Several candidates have so far only been able to obtain one sponsorship. Nathalie Arthaud (Worker’s struggle), Philippe Poutou (NPA), the philosopher Gaspard Koenig, supporter of the simplification of standards, Marine Le Pen (National Rally) and Éric Zemmour (Reconquest).
