Presidential: Nathalie Arthaud obtains 500 sponsorships, where are the others?

The Constitutional Council validated 1,851 new sponsorships on Tuesday, bringing the total to 8,076 – figures which have yet to receive final validation, because sponsorships must come from at least 30 different departments.

With 509 signatures, Ms. Arthaud thus becomes the third woman to have the precious signatures to be a formal candidate on April 10, after the LR candidate Valérie Pécresse, who prances in the lead with 1,824 initials and the socialist Anne Hidalgo (1,007). The fourth qualified is President Emmanuel Macron, who has not yet formalized his candidacy, with 1,260 sponsorships.

Other contenders for the Élysée are approaching the 500 signature mark, in the first place the communist Fabien Roussel (492), followed by the deputy Jean Lassalle (471) and the ecologist Yannick Jadot (450).

Further on, come the sovereignist Nicolas Dupont-Aignan (360), ahead of the Insoumis Jean-Luc Mélenchon (332) neck and neck with Marine Le Pen (331). Then Éric Zemmour (250) and François Asselineau (210), ahead of NPA Philippe Poutou (188), trade unionist Annasse Kazib (116), former Keeper of the Seals Christiane Taubira (73) and animalist Hélène Thouy ( 70).

Note that the former socialist president François Hollande and the ex-primary candidate LR Michel Barnier, who are not officially candidates, each received sponsorship.
