Presidential poll: Macron stable, Zemmour sinks

With 28% of voting intentions according to our daily Ifop-Fiducial poll for Paris Match-LCI-Sud-Radio, Emmanuel Macron is largely in the lead. He is ahead of Marine Le Pen (17%,=). Valérie Pécresse (13.5%, +0.5) returns to third place ahead of Eric Zemmour who continues to decline: -3 points in three days.

Nothing is going well on the side of “Reconquest!”. Indeed, Eric Zemmour has lost, according to our daily survey, 3 points in three days and finds himself today with 12.5% of voting intentions in the first round. The candidate pays a high price for his successive support for Vladimir Poutine, while the other so-called “pro-Russian” candidates remain stable: 17% in the first round for Marine Le Pen, 11.5% for the rebel Jean-Luc Mélenchon ( +0.5). The former “Figaro” journalist seems to suffer, on the one hand, from never going back on his remarks against the Russian dictator and, on the other hand, from having said that he did not want to welcome any Ukrainian refugee.

Le Pen more cautious

Unlike Zemmour, the other “pro-Russian” candidates expressed half-worded regret; Marine Le Pen was more cautious on the Russian case, explaining in particular that “Putin is no longer the one of 2017”, among other things. Mélenchon is therefore on the heels of the far-right candidate, and seems to be on the right track to overtake him in the days to come. Good news for the Republican right: Valérie Pécresse, 13.5% (+0.5) left fourth place to close the podium. Emmanuel Macron, 28%, remains stable after a sharp rise at the start of the week (the flag effect).

On the left, nothing moves. Yannick Jadot remains stable at 4.5%; same score for the surprise of this election, the communist Fabien Roussel. Christiane Taubira, 1.5% of voting intentions in the first round, withdrew her candidacy this Wednesday, March 2. The next few days will tell who will benefit from this little nest egg.
