Si Emmanuel Macron (25%) continues his race at the head of voting intentions in the first round of the presidential election, a few percentage points ahead of Marine Le Pen (17.5%), the gap is narrowing between Valérie Pécresse (15.5 %) and Eric Zemmour (14.5%). Published on Monday 7 February, the Ifop-Fiducial “rolling” survey for Paris Match, LCI and Sud Radio shared these results. The Head of State, whose candidacy is still not formalized, would obtain 25% of the votes in the first round, up one point from the previous Monday. He is still ahead of the National Rally candidate, Marine Le Pen (17.5%, stable).
In a landscape without much change, the gap is closing between LR Valérie Pécresse (15.5%, -1%) and the Reconquest candidate! Eric Zemmour (14.5%, +1%). The left is fragmented: the Insoumis Jean-Luc Mélenchon collects 10% of voting intentions (+ 0.5%) ahead of the ecologist Yannick Jadot at 4.5% (- 0.5%), tied with Christiane Taubira (+0.5%).

1,504 survey participants
The communist Fabien Roussel (3.5%, stable) is ahead of the socialist Anne Hidalgo, in great difficulty (2.5%, -1 point). In the second round, Emmanuel Macron would win against Marine Le Pen 55.5% against 44.5%, and against Valérie Pécresse 55% against 45%. Some 67% of respondents plan to vote on April 10 in the first round. 68% of voters surveyed say they are sure of their choice for this first round. A “rolling” survey is a survey “continuously carried out on the principle of a rolling accumulation of waves of daily surveys”, recalls the Ifop institute.
Survey carried out from February 3 to 7 with a sample of 1,504 people representative of the population residing in metropolitan France aged 18 and over, according to the quota method. Margin of error from 1.4 to 3.1 points. Voting intentions do not constitute a forecast of the outcome of the ballot. They give an indication of the balance of power and dynamics on the day of the survey.
