In “A Man of His Class” (The First), little Christian grows up in difficult circumstances. Meringues are in demand during the “big baking” (Sat.1). Detective Wilsberg (ZDFneo) also investigates financial fraud with fatal consequences.
8:15 p.m., Das Erste, A Man of His Class, Drama
Kaiserslautern in 1994: Christian (Camille Loup Moltzen) grows up in difficult circumstances, influenced by a father who works hard but also drinks and is violent. After his mother’s death, his aunt Juli (Svenja Jung) takes Christian and his siblings in, against his father’s wishes. Juli ensures that Christian is allowed to attend high school, but there he repeatedly encounters prejudice. His passion is football – especially 1. FC Kaiserslautern – and the music of Freddy Mercury. Christian stands between his aunt, who only wants the best for him, and his father, from whom he cannot emotionally separate himself.
8:15 p.m., Sat.1, The Big Baking, Baking Show
The challenge of the Mini Pavlova task is to create crispy meringue bases with a soft center and a creative filling. The amateur bakers must use at least one cream and one fruit topping. Making a perfect crepe is already difficult, but in the technical test the participants have to conjure up an entire cake made of evenly layered crepes in a wave look. Who will manage to impress the jury?
8:15 p.m., ZDFneo, Wilsberg: Murderous returns, crime thriller
Retirement could be so nice, but for Paul Dietze (Michael Kausch), a friend of Wilsberg (Leonard Lansink), it is anything but pleasant. His saved money is lost. The supposedly secure retirement provision that the “wealth advisor” Uli Pape (Simon Schwarz) had recommended to him was a total failure. Now Paul and his wife Elfie (Klara Höfels) are left with nothing. Wilsberg doesn’t just want to accept this injustice.

Ben Affleck takes on the role of a CIA analyst who fights against terrorists: A new president is installed in Russia, Nemerov, who is known as a hardliner. As the United States prepares a nuclear counterstrike against Russia, Jack Ryan and CIA chief Cabot work to unmask the real masterminds of the disaster.
8:15 p.m., RTL, Germany is looking for the superstar, casting show
RTL is once again looking for Germany’s next “superstar”. This time a jury consisting of Dieter Bohlen, Pietro Lombardi, Beatrice Egli and Loredana is sitting at the table. For the first time, the backdrops of Europa-Park in Rust serve as an impressive stage for the castings. The age limit has been lifted: anyone aged 16 or over can take part. This time the international recall will take place on the Greek island of Crete.
