In “Adventure Christmas – Family can never be big enough” (Das Erste), a patchwork clan falls out shortly before the festival. “The Boss” (ZDF) is looking for the murderer of a transport driver. In “Alita: Battle Angel” (ProSieben), a cyborg girl with a mysterious past is hunted.
8:15 p.m., Das Erste, Christmas Adventure – Family can never be big enough, comedy
Eight-year-old Nina (Lotta Herzog) is excited for Christmas! The fact that her stepfather Jerry (Juergen Maurer) not only brings his ex-wives (Maria Furtwängler, Pegah Ferydoni) and their new partners (Dennenesch Zoudé, Manuel Rubey), but also five “siblings” gives her hope for a big celebration. But unfortunately the beloved grandma (Inge Maux), who brought the 13-member patchwork family together last year, is no longer alive! When “Uncle” Horst (Leo Reisinger) gets a bloody nose at a failed planning meeting, contemplation becomes a distant memory. To save Christmas, Nina’s sixteen-year-old brother Jeremy (Liam Noori) decides to launch a secret operation.

“Better dead than QUAR”. A macabre motto for the murder of the young driver Jan Kosinski (Tobias Ziegler) – on the windshield of his car, written in the dead man’s blood. Vera Lanz (Katharina Böhm) and her team can rule out robbery and murder. The question remains as to the motive. Was Jan’s idea of setting up a drivers’ union at QUAR fatal for the son from a good family? Kosinski also had to contend with physical attacks from the taxi community.

The scientist Dr. Dyson Ido (Christoph Waltz) brings a girl’s (Rosa Salazar) broken cyborg body back to life. Together with her friend Hugo, Alita – as Ido calls her – goes in search of her past. When the city’s powerful begin their hunt for her, Alita discovers ancient powers that could be the key to saving her world.
8:15 p.m., VOX, The Fantastic Journey of Dr. Dolittle, fantasy
The once famous Dr. Dolittle (Robert Jr. Downey) has withdrawn completely after the death of his wife Lily (Kasia Smutniak) and lives with his animals behind the high walls of his estate. But when the young English Queen Victoria (Jessie Buckley) falls seriously ill, only he can help her. Together with his medical assistant Tommy (Harry Collett) and a few animal companions he can talk to, he travels to a legendary island where there is supposedly a cure.
9:15 p.m., ZDF, SOKO Leipzig: Schutzbefohlen, crime series
The Leipzig journalist Silke Becker (Anja Taschenberg) is found murdered in her apartment. Her apartment door was forced open. A case of procurement crime? Investigations show that the journalist was researching the topic of “forced prostitution among minors”. She received clear warnings to stop investigating this matter from the orthodox Britta Welting (Eva Löser), who is looking for her renegade sister.
