A photo of Empress Sissi caused a stir in “Blind Determined” (Das Erste). In “RIPD – Rest in Peace Department” (RTL) Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges hunt criminal undead souls. In addition, Sat.1 does the “DIY check”.

8:15 p.m., the first, blindly determined – the naked empress, crime thriller

A curse lies on the legendary photograph from 1898, which shows the legendary Empress Sissi naked on her deathbed: everyone who looked at it paid with their life shortly afterwards. When Charlotte Binder (Julia Hartmann), descendant of the court photographer at the time, comes into possession of the photo plate, the eerie series of deaths continues. Special investigator Haller (Philipp Hochmair) and his partner Niko (Andreas Guenther) suspect that someone wants to make millions from selling on the black market.

8:15 p.m., VOX, RIPD – Rest in Peace Department, fantasy action comedy

Hardened Boston cop Nick Walker (Ryan Reynolds) is shot dead by his corrupt partner Bobby (Kevin Bacon) one day and finds himself in heaven. In the office of the RIPD, the “Rest in Peace Department”, his new boss Proctor (Mary-Louise Parker) explains to him what his future tasks as a heavenly detective will be. Nick is supposed to track down undead souls, so-called “deados”, on earth and bring them to their last destination. For his new job, Nick is paired with the extremely gnarly marshal Roy Pulsipher (Jeff Bridges), who is beyond annoyed at having to work with the young greenhorn from now on.

When the smart workaholic Edward Lewis (Richard Gere) needs a companion for a business dinner, he hires the young prostitute Vivian (Julia Roberts) and takes her to his luxury hotel. Edward likes her freshness and directness, and so he engages her for a whole week the next morning. The business relationship turns into a passionate love affair within the next few days.
