The extended Bundschuh family experiences a lot of excitement when Gundula (Andrea Sawatzki) and Gerald Bundschuh (Axel Milberg) face each other as candidates for mayor at their new place of residence. The election campaign between Gundula and Gerald divides the family, while mother-in-law Susanne (Judy Winter) already sees herself as First Lady, brother Hadi (Stephan Grossmann) feels called upon to be a ghostwriter for Gerald’s political speeches and sister-in-law Rose discovers her talent as a lay preacher.
