Detective Director Liebig (Luc Feit) is celebrating his 60th birthday at Göttingen police headquarters when the party is suddenly disrupted: there was a serious accident in the neighboring old town. A van crashed into a crowd. Charlotte Lindholm (Maria Furtwängler) and Liebig’s wife Tereza (Bibiana Beglau), a doctor at the local hospital, are the first to arrive at the scene of the accident.
