The ski jumper “Eddie the Eagle” (kabel eins) has blossomed from underdog to darling of the public. “ZDFzeit” unmasks tricks of the food industry and in “Nord Nord Mord” (ZDFneo) a dead person is recovered from the sea near Sylt.

Michael “Eddie” Edwards (Taron Egerton) has a big dream. Once in his life he wants to take part in the Olympic Games. In order to fulfill this wish, Eddie tests one sport after the next. Even if he gets a lot of scorn for his unsportsmanlike conduct, he doesn’t let that dissuade him. When Eddie tries his luck at ski jumping, he meets Bronson Peary (Hugh Jackman), the 1968 Olympic champion – and gradually gets closer to his goal.

Pfanni potato dumplings consist only to a small extent of potatoes. The Langnese ice cream contains hardly any milk. And the Knorr broths come with practically no beef. Product developer Sebastian Lege shows how the manufacturer Unilever cheats with recipes. Unilever is a giant in the food industry and claims to be the world’s largest ice cream maker. But the group also produces detergents and soaps. So how good are the foods from Unilever?

8:15 p.m., ZDFneo, North North Murder: Clüver and the strange woman, crime thriller

Sylt. A dead woman is recovered from the sea: name unknown. She was tied up and then thrown into the sea alive. Her body is bruised, she was abused before her death. Gradually, Clüver (Robert Atzorn), Feldmann (Oliver Wnuk) and Ina (Julia Brendler) succeed in circling the suspects. They get caught up in the dark machinations of inheritance smugglers who want to enrich themselves on Sylt and don’t even shy away from murder.

8:15 p.m., the first, in all friendship: overreactions, hospital series

Bank clerk Jens Schmitt (Thomas Huber) is brought to the hospital with a heart attack. His son Ruben (Jan-David Bürger) betrays Dr. Maria Weber (Annett Renneberg) that his father’s divorce from his mother is hard on him. Maria places a stent on Jens, but contrary to her expectations, the patient recovers only slowly. He confesses to Head Nurse Arzu Ritter (Arzu Bazman) that he worries a lot about his son since he dropped out of college to take over the comic book store where he worked.

11:00 p.m., The First, The Funeral: Klaus & Ernst – Old Friends, improv comedy series

The funeral of Wolff-Dieter Meurer is a difficult day for Pastor Ernst Wittig (Thomas Thieme). He is about to have a conversation with an old acquaintance who uses the funeral for a painful reckoning: Klaus (Jörg Gudzuhn), the father of Wolff-Dieter’s foster daughter Anna (Anja Kling), still has a score to settle with the deceased. The village priest knows that he too must finally face up to a bitter truth that has weighed heavily on his conscience for years.
