The new best-of show is about the often neglected heroes of everyday life such as the police, fire brigade, doctors and nurses, who form the foundation of our society. Mario Barth and his team show how these important areas are often underfunded, while taxpayer money is wasted on other projects. Questions are being asked as to why these essential professions are not being adequately supported.

Conjure up delicious meals with ingredients from the refrigerators of complete strangers: this is the challenge you face in “Open the refrigerator!” per episode, two professional cooking teams compete against each other. Who will ultimately create the tastiest menu? In each episode, the final decision about the good or bad taste is made by the respective refrigerator owners. Whoever has collected the most points at the end emerges as the winning team.

Claude (Christian Clavier) and Marie Verneuil (Chantal Lauby) have four daughters, three of whom are already married. But Claude is dissatisfied with his current sons-in-law, who do not meet his expectations. However, he must hide his disappointment as he experiences the unexpected turns of events in the family.

Alex (Ina Paule Klink) has just started at a new law firm, and her first case is a murder case. The wife of wealthy client Thomas Winter (Tobias Oertel) was strangled with a rope. He himself was struck down by the perpetrator. Or so he claims. But Inspector Anna Springer (Rita Russek) doesn’t believe a word he says. There are no traces of a third person anywhere. Plus, Winter left fingerprints everywhere, even on the corpse. Winter reacts in shock to this accusation.
