In “Breton Idylle” (The First) Inspector Dupin investigates the murder of a large landowner. The midwife Lena Lorenz (ZDF) gets into a conflict about a surrogate mother. In Sat.1, professional chefs have to conjure up ingredients from other people’s refrigerators.

8:15 p.m., The First, Inspector Dupin: Breton Idyll, Crime

A body is pulled out of the sea off the coast of the Breton island of Belle-Île. It is about the rich landowner Patric Provost (Stephan Benson). It quickly becomes clear that Provost died neither by suicide nor by an accident, he was strangled, as Commissioner Dupin (Pasquale Aleardi) recognizes. There are enough suspects.

8:15 p.m., ZDF, Lena Lorenz: motherly love, homeland drama

Petra Hoffmann (Gesine Cukrowski) is pregnant again in her early 50s. But she is not carrying her own child, but her future grandson – the son of her daughter Kim Seidler (Deniz Orta) and her husband Mathias (Giovanni Funiati). Midwife Lena Lorenz (Judith Hoersch) has been taking care of mother and daughter for quite a while. The pregnancy has so far been trouble-free, but shortly before the birth, the family construct begins to falter. Because Mathias fell in love with another woman and separated from Kim.

Professional chef Alexander Kumptner and “The Taste 2021” finalist Hanna Reder compete with changing professional chef duos with the highest culinary competence. The task: to conjure up delicious meals – with the ingredients from the refrigerators of completely strange households. In each episode, the final decision as to whether or not taste is good or bad is made by the refrigerator owner. Whoever has collected the most points at the end leaves the stove as the winning team.

Shrek now leads the good life of a family man and longs a little for the old days when he spread fear and terror. The tempting offer from Rumpelstiltskin, which promises an exciting adventure, comes at just the right time. But before Shrek knows it, he finds himself in a completely wrong world, which he has to fix as soon as possible. Otherwise Fiona and all his friends are lost forever.

A young man’s severed arm is found on the beach in Mainland. For Commissioner Jimmy Perez (Douglas Henshall), his assistant Tosh (Alison O’Donnell) and Detective Constable Sandy Wilson (Steven Robertson) it is clear that it was hardly an accident at sea. When further, partially dissolved body parts are washed up shortly afterwards, a murder case develops.
