“Kafka”: Franz Kafka’s (Joel Basman) personality is complicated.

The first shows the drama series “Kafka” on the 100th anniversary of the writer’s death. In “The Irrational – Criminally Logical” (Sat.1), a plane crash poses a mystery. In “Inga Lindström: Beloved Sven” (ZDF), young Alba also doubts the death of her missing husband.
8:15 p.m., Das Erste, Kafka: Max, drama series
The first episode is about Kafka’s (Joel Basman) friend Max Brod (Max Brod). He is a recognized writer, full of energy and ideas, but his biggest project is to gain fame for his friend Franz. This is a kind of reverse Amadeus constellation: Brod tries with all his might to help his difficult friend, who, however, never returns artistic recognition or support to his most loyal supporter. Brod is a manic womanizer, always involved in multiple affairs. He is a warm-hearted person and the center of energy and power in the story. Unfortunately, he is not a good writer – a fact that Kafka is well aware of.
8:15 p.m., Sat.1, The Irrational – Criminally Logical: The Barnum Effect, crime series
Alec Mercer (Jesse L. Martin) is supposed to analyze the behavior of a pilot who crashed his plane in a forest near Washington. Although all evidence points to human error, Alec cannot figure out the case. However, when the investigators take a closer look at the plane, they make a terrible discovery.
8:15 p.m., ZDF, Inga Lindström: Beloved Sven, love film
Alba (Nathalie Thiede) and Sven (Tobias Schönenberg) are about to start breeding horses when Sven gets caught in a tsunami on his sailboat. Alba is the only one who believes that the missing person will survive. Alba opens a holiday guesthouse – until Sven’s hoped-for return. When veterinarian Marius (Tom Radisch) settles in with his bad-tempered daughter Line (Claire Wegener), their life plan is thrown into disarray. Her mother Elvira also wants to bring her back to the city.
8:15 p.m., Tele 5, Once Upon a Time in Venice, Action
Ex-cop and private detective Steve Ford (Bruce Willis) leads a chilled life in Venice Beach. He skates, he surfs and is a cool role model for the kids on the beach. But when his four-legged friend Buddy is kidnapped by a notorious gang, Steve relies on his skills as a hardened investigator and throws himself into the gangster and drug world. He is supported by his best friend Dave (John Goodman), who is delighted about this unusual distraction from his life crisis. Shortly afterwards, due to crazy coincidences, the two of them find themselves in a wild chase in which not one eye stays dry.

A school class follows their teacher into the mudflats and returns without him. Was he an irresponsible person who put his class in great danger and lost his own life in the process? Or did a few evil students take advantage of the situation to get rid of a hated teacher? Ann Kathrin Klaasen (Julia Jentsch) doesn’t believe it and initially lets the main suspect, student Laura (Elisa Schlott), go.
