On “Love Island” (RTLzwei), singles are looking for love again from today. In “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” (Sat.1) the sorcerer’s apprentice has to visit his relatives before the new school year begins. In “I, Robot” (kabel eins), a detective finds an even greater threat than robots.

With the new season “Love Island – Hot Flirts & True Love”, RTLZWEI once again heralds spring, when adventurous singles in a luxurious villa experience a legendary time full of exciting encounters and sparkling flirts while looking for true love. Presenter Sylvie Meis leads through the popular dating show for the second time and provides one or the other surprise in the love villa.
8:15 p.m., kabel eins, I, Robot, sci-fi action thriller
Will Smith is on the road as an investigator in the future: In Chicago in the year 2035, robots are part of everyday life. The artificial beings are actually programmed in such a way that they cannot become dangerous to humans. But then the chief developer of the largest robot manufacturer is murdered. Detective Del Spooner on the case sees his distrust of the machines confirmed. However, he quickly encounters another, far more dangerous threat.
8:15 p.m., ZDF, Honecker and the pastor, drama
The Modrow government offers the former dictator couple no protection. The Honeckers only find refuge with the evangelical pastor Uwe Holmer (Hans-Uwe Bauer) and his family, who, like many others, suffered under the GDR regime. There are violent demonstrations in front of the vicarage, so that Pastor Holmer and his wife have to personally stand in the way of the violent demonstrators. The half-hearted attempt by the Modrow government to house the Honeckers in a state-run holiday home in Lindow in March 1990 failed due to massive political protests and physical attacks on the motorcade. Again, the Holmers take in the couple. The convinced socialists and the devout Christians lived under one roof in the parsonage for a total of ten weeks.

Post-war Italy is characterized by poverty. The young Gelsomina (Giulietta Masina) is sold by her mother to the artist Zampano (Anthony Quinn). Although she is touring the country with the muscle man, she remains lonely. Then she meets tightrope walker Matto (Richard Basehart). A violent argument ensues between him and Zampano and a tragedy takes its course. In this classic Italian film, Federico Fellini tells the neo-realistic story of a couple of showmen on the fringes of society.
8:30 p.m., Sat.1, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, fantasy adventures
There is nothing worse than school holidays for Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), because the student of the legendary magic academy Hogwarts has to spend it at home with his foster parents. Even when the new school year finally begins, there are only problems for him: first a mysterious house elf tries to prevent him from returning to Hogwarts, then he misses the train there and finally he learns that the school and his friends are being run over by an ancient power to be threatened.
