In “Nord bei Nordwest” (Das Erste), the investigators discover the double life of a missing man. The “Bergdoktor” (ZDF) helps a man who suffers from attacks of dizziness. RTL also shows the report “X-rayed – What’s going wrong in Germany?”.
8:15 p.m., Das Erste, Nord bei Nordwest: The Double Lothar, crime thriller
Lothar Müller (Tim Ehlert), often called “Lottchen” by friends, is a popular sales representative who travels a lot. But one day he doesn’t come home. Hauke Jacobs (Hinnerk Schönemann) and Hannah Wagner (Jana Klinge) take action immediately after receiving the missing person report. In fact, Lothar Müller’s body is found on the coast – in Travemünde. He was murdered. As his wife Susanne (Johanna Christine Gehlen) and his daughter Anna (Johanna Götting) are horrified to learn, “Lottchen” existed twice: once as a father in Schwanitz – and once as a father in Travemünde, where he and Lisa (Marie Hacke). their son Finn (Karl von Klot). And with it a complete second existence.

Shortly before his wedding to hotel owner Ina Lechner (Maria Simon), Jan Seidl (Max Woelky) falls and shows neurological symptoms. Martin Gruber (Hans Sigl) suspects that the man is hiding something and is worried about Ina’s well-being. Although Martin can rule out a concussion for Jan, he would like to clarify how the fall occurred. When the caretaker assures him that he suffers from occasional attacks of dizziness due to protein intolerance, Gruber asks him for the address of his former family doctor in order to request the patient files.
8:15 p.m., RTL, X-rayed – What’s going wrong in Germany?, report
“Made in Germany” – previously a seal of quality. What does it stand for today? More and more people fear that Germany is missing the boat compared to other countries. Are staff shortages, a lack of digitalization or bureaucratic hurdles paralyzing the country? Moderator Peter Kloeppel goes looking for clues together with reporter Thorsten Schorn. They outline problems, look for solutions and talk to those most affected.
8:15 p.m., VOX, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Fantasy
The hobbit Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) goes on a mission with 13 dwarves and the warrior Thorin, following instructions from the wise man Gandalf (Ian McKellen): They must free the lost dwarven kingdom of Erebor from the clutches of the dragon Smaug. He guards the empire and the treasure hidden there to this day. They have to brave many dangers on their journey. When Bilbo meets the unknown creature Gollum, he doesn’t know how much it will have a lasting impact on him.

Frank Rosin can hardly help but be amazed in his latest case: The “Naturfreundehaus Strümmellbach” has a unique location. In addition, the operators Lubica and Andreas have a real professional in the kitchen, Antonio Amador. Previously he worked mainly in star restaurants. Nevertheless, all of this doesn’t seem to be enough. Will Rosin succeed in implementing a new concept?
