The “Rest In Peace Department” (RTLzwei) hunts down criminal undead souls. The “boss” (ZDF) has to free her colleague Böhmer from a suspicion of murder. On ProSieben, the “Office Christmas Party” with Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman is completely out of hand.

The hardened Boston cop Nick Walker (Ryan Reynolds) is shot one day by his corrupt partner Bobby (Kevin Bacon) and finds himself in heaven. In the office of the RIPD, the “Rest in Peace Department”, his new boss Procter (Mary-Louise Parker) explains to him what his future duties as a heavenly detective will be. Nick is supposed to track down undead souls, so-called “Deados”, on earth and bring them to their final destination. For his new job, Nick gets the gnarled Marshall Roy Pulsipher (Jeff Bridges) at his side.

When Böhmer (Jürgen Tonkel) comes to in the apartment of a prostitute, she is being taken care of in an emergency. A stranger shot Anja Wertling (Ina Meling) and knocked Böhmer down. Vera Lanz (Katharina Böhm) suspects that a dodgy episode in his past catches up with Böhmer, but her colleague is silent. He secretly suspects who is behind the attack. Andreas Kurz (Manfred Zapatka), the former red light king and pimp, is appointed to the presidium.

A large company’s Chicago office is slated to close. The manager Clay (TJ Miller) and other colleagues (including Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman) come up with the grandiose idea of being able to impress a potential company-saving customer with a Christmas party. But the festival is getting completely out of hand, so that all of Chicago will remember it.

It’s getting sporty for “Die Junge Ärzte”: Julia Berger (Mirka Pigulla), Ben Ahlbeck (Philipp Danne) and Dr. Elias Bähr (Stefan Ruppe) are the competition doctors at the Biathlon Junior World Championships in Oberhof and care for the young athletes there. Among these, Klara Wegner (Caroline Cousin) seems to have the best chance of a medal. Her father and coach Dominik Wegner (Jens Atzorn) worries about her all the time.

Chief Inspector Leitmayr (Udo Wachtveitl) gets caught up in the mill of internal police investigations when he shoots a young man during a pursuit. A car catches fire in front of a farm. Shortly afterwards the car explodes. In the passenger seat, Leitmayr and Batic (Miroslav Nemec) could still see the outline of a person. Leitmayr pursues an armed young man in the winding property. There is a shootout in which Leitmayr hits three times. The subsequent investigation shows that Leitmayr has probably acted culpably. Because the shooter’s pistol is a dummy.
