In “Ender’s Game” (kabel eins) a student is supposed to lead the fight against aliens. For the candidates on “The Taste” (Sat.1), the final is on today. And “Wilsberg” (ZDFneo) is looking for a missing child.

It’s been 70 years since the Formics, a hostile alien race, attacked and devastated Earth. The next attack is only a matter of time, which is why the international fleet recruits the most intelligent children and prepares them for an emergency. Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield) stands out from the elite unit, which is why he should lead the epic battle. But time is running out.

8:15 p.m., Sat.1, The Taste, cooking show

In the final, the candidates can really let off steam again. The guest jurors Lisa Angermann and Roland Trettl want to see three textures made of artichoke, onion, Norway lobster, char, raspberry, apple and cauliflower in the team cooking. Even in solo cooking, hobby and professional chefs are given a choice of different ingredients in three duels, until in the final round each coach has to be presented with a sweet and salty composition on the spoon in just 60 minutes.

When it comes to the strange questions, creativity is required.

A boy is kidnapped in a small town in Münsterland. The desperate parents want to keep the police out of fear, so a relative persuades Georg Wilsberg (Leonard Lansink) to hand over the money privately. But the mother of the kidnapped child secretly turns on the police and the handover fails. Wolfgang Schwendter (Michael Lott) quickly comes under suspicion because he was already accused of child abuse.
